Throw one at me if you want, hash head. I’ve got all five senses and I slept last night, that puts me six up on the lot of you.

Det er ikke ofte man ser en ungdomsfilm som oppfører seg som en voksen etterforskningsfilm. Brick gjør det, men det er en film som ikke helt engasjerte. Det går tregt unna med mye dialog, og jeg kjøper ikke helt hvordan rollefigurene blir fremstilt. Det føles uekte ut, og det hjelper heller ikke at pingelen Lukas Haas spiller den fryktede, The Pin.

Brick forsøker seg på en ungdommelig film noir. Et artig forsøk som ikke holder inn til mål. Det er historien for dårlig til. Men jeg må se filmen en gang til, det fortjener den, for den er ganske unik, samme som Looper var. Regissør Rian Johnson er en veldig spennende regissør, så Brick fortjener en sjanse til. Kanskje det stemmer bedre da.
