Get out! Demons has taken over the cinema!
A cinema hands out free tickets to a screening of a horror movie. But what is supposed to be an enjoyable night for the audience develops into a nightmare when one by one are turned into demons from hell! Will anyone survive this hellish night?
Demons is a movie that’s so bad it’s good. Demons could have been a better movie had the budget been bigger. Even though the movie is silly, it has some tense scenes and a creepy atmosphere that I appreciated. It also has a few good visual moments. Especially the scenes when the eyes of the demons glow.
Demons is held back by some terrible actors and some awful dubbing from the deepest hell. Sure, it’s charming, but it ruins so many of these Italian movies that would have been so much better had it not been for the bad dubbing. Yes, I know it’s charming, but it can also be so bad that it takes you out of the movie. Especially if the movie has some creepy scenes that are scary.
Demons isn’t that super gory either, so at that point, the movie disappoints a bit. But it has the wild energy I love, and it shifts into a higher gear towards the end with a lot of madness when one of the central characters gets hold of a sword and a motorcycle. I sat and smiled with my big smile. This is the reason I love movies!
There’s so much wrong here with demons flying high and throwing themselves after our heroes a few seconds too late all the time. And some actors are suddenly without demon makeup. This is so stupid and fun, and I found myself rewinding the movie several times to see how many bloopers I could find.
This is a fun movie if you love stupid and energetic movies that just don’t give a damn and pump out madness and metal music.
