Memories.
A man in his late 40s is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and we follow him on the long and very difficult road where his wife does everything to help him.
Alzheimer’s disease is next to blindness what scares me the most. It’s a brutal disease, and there’s nothing you can do to get better.
Memories of Tomorrow starts with a slightly light and charming tone, but then the tension and an unsettling atmosphere takes over which is frightening when the protagonist has major problems with his brain. During these attacks, Memories of Tomorrow feels like a thriller movie. It makes you feel uncomfortable when the scenes are as well made as they are here.
Memories of Tomorrow are a touching, scary, and well-acted movie that feels real and natural. It’s easy to feel and understand the despair and the negative thinking that the protagonist is experiencing. He doesn’t want to be a burden to his wife, who supports him all the time. It hurts to watch him like this, and you feel as tired as the protagonist where he spends all his energy on daily chores that drains him of energy.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen about Alzheimer’s disease. The score is sore and beautiful. The topic is scary, and the movie is well made and it creates a disturbing atmosphere when the protagonist has problems with his brain. And the actors do an excellent job.
So this is a movie that I recommended you to watch if you are looking for a touching movie about a scary disease that destroys your brain.
