Woody Allen kommer aldri til å bli en av mine favoritter, jeg hater det meste jeg ser som er laget av denne lille ekle mannen. Midnight in Paris er en av de bedre filmene jeg har sett, men det er grunnet Owen Wilson. Hadde Woody Allen selv spilt hovedrollen, ville jeg sikkert hatet filmen.

Handlingen er litt sjarmerende, og filmen har en rolig og avslappet rytme. Dessverre for meg hører jeg stadig Woody Allen i dialogen med sin nevrotiske stil. Dialogen kan bli litt stiv og teatralsk, det er noe man bare må regne med når Woody Allen lager film.

Midnight in Paris er en småsjarmerende film, men det blir for lite Michael Sheen. Scenene med Michael Sheen og Owen Wilson er filmens høydepunkt. Ellers rusler filmen i sitt eget tempo der det meste er lek, og det daffes med gamle storheter.
