Romantikk i Shanghai.

Shanghai Blues er en lett og lystig romantisk komedie fra Tsui Hark, tidlig i hans karriere. Er du vant med kinesisk humor, vet du hva som venter med et meget høyt tempo og artige situasjoner du har sett tidligere i andre filmer. Det blir mye situasjonskomedie, det meste fungerer, men dette er en film som sjarmerer mer enn den får deg til å le.

Skuespillerne er på det jevne, kjemien mellom de elskede er der ikke. Kjenningsmelodien er fengende, og visuelt ser filmen bra ut med mye farger selvsagt. Jeg trodde at Tsui Hark kun lagde actionfilmer, men der tok jeg feil. Med Shanghai Blues viser han en ny side jeg ikke visste han hadde, og han gjør ikke mye galt med Shanghai Blues, men jeg har sett dette før og bedre i andre filmer.
