Everybody else up here acts like they’ve never seen a black man before. Why should the bear be different?

Shoot to Kill var en film jeg likte svært godt i min barndom. Filmen holder seg fremdeles godt, men noen problemer er det. Morderen blir avslørt for tidlig, og han dreper gruppen han er med i for raskt.

Jeg finner den siste akten også ganske svak når morderen og forfølgerne forlater fjell til fordel for by. Atmosfæren og eventyrfølelsen blir da helt borte, vi sitter igjen med en standard thriller som aldri overrasker. I starten og i fjellet var nerven der hele tiden, den blir borte så fort sivilisasjonen blir oppsøkt.

Tom Beregner og mannen alle afroamerikanske skuespillere ser opp til, Sidney Poitier, gjør jobben sin. Kjemien stemmer, de spiller godt med tanke på hvor lite de får å jobbe med.

Dette er fremdeles en artig thriller som har tålt tidens tann, bare så synd med siste akt som ikke helt holder mål.
