He fucked me. I’m truly ass-invaded.

The 51st State er en lystig og lett film der skuespillerne kan leke seg. Vi har en fin rollebesetning i Samuel L. Jackson, Emily Mortimer og Robert Carlyle. Emily Mortimer må kanskje være tidenes søteste leiemorder.

Følelsen av å se en film av Guy Ritchie er stor. Det er mange likheter å spore, The 51st State vil være en kul film som Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels og Snatch, men når aldri opp til disse to filmene. Grunnen til det er noen kjedelige rollefigurer. Sean Pertwee og Meat Loaf spiller to kjedelige rollefigurer som filmen kunne vært foruten. Det rike persongalleriet man finner i filmene til Guy Ritchie, finner man ikke i The 51st State.

Tempoet er høyt, og jeg kjedet meg aldri. Men dette er en film man ser maks to ganger i livet, gjensynsverdien er ikke stor her. Historien er for dårlig til det.
