The Bone Man (2009)

Kjærlighet gjør en blind.

Filmer fra Østerrike er jeg ikke bevandret i. Jeg trodde The Bone Man ville være en østerriksk utgave av The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, der tok jeg feil. Noen korte scener kan minne om The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, men det er alt.

Det er lite blod og gørr i The Bone Man. Det som først skjer er en ulykke, og når en mann ankommer en liten landsby for å hente en bil, baller det seg bare på. Her får man kjærlighet, transvestitter, en hore og en gammel mann som gjør alt for horen sin. Sønnen i huset hater sin far, og faren er heller ikke glad i sønnen sin. Dette blir rett og slett en film om en familie i problemer. Etter hvert blir det varme følelser mellom datteren i huset og mannen som skal hente bilen.

Selv om tittelen skulle tilsi mye blodsøl klarer filmen å engasjere. Den blir aldri kjedelig, den bygger opp rollefigurene sakte men sikkert. Hvis man ikke går til filmen for å se masse vold, tror jeg ikke man blir skuffet.
