The Pianist er basert på sanne hendelser. Regissør er Roman Polanski, og i hovedrollen som Wladyslaw Szpilman finner vi Adrien Brody. Adrien Brody leverer en fantastisk rolletolkning som den fantastiske pianisten, Wladyslaw Szpilman. Wladyslaw Szpilman må kjempe mot tiden, for de allierte er nær, men fremdeles så lurer tyskere rundt hvert hjørne og mannen er utsultet.

Jeg har utsatt The Pianist i noen år nå, og det angrer jeg på nå. Jeg så for meg en helt annen type film enn det jeg så. Filmen var velspilt og spennende hele veien, og akkurat dette overrasket meg stort at filmen skulle være så spennende. Wladyslaw Szpilman mister etter hvert sin familie og venner, og på slutten så virker det som om det er bare han og tyskerne igjen i byen, og hans gave i livet blir hans redning.

En sterk film, men også en spennende film som engasjerer og du blir dratt inn i handlingen. Og Adrien Brody fortjente virkelig Oscar for beste mannlig skuespiller.
