Sesong 7 byr på 25 episoder. Denne sesongen starter bra med noen skikkelig gode episoder, men etter rundt 10 episoder daler kvaliteten. Akkurat slik som i sesong 6. Jeg følte at man forsøkte å gå tilbake til røttene i The Simpsons i denne sesongen. Historiene ble prioritert, men de glemte humoren. Resultatet av det ble noen veldig kjedelige episoder uten gnist.
Nå begynner nedturen, og The Simpsons ble aldri helt den samme serien igjen etter den siste halvdelen av sesong 7.
